StorageConnects™ Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the StorageConnects™ website, platform, and services.

By accessing or using StorageConnects™, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Storage Space Licence Agreement.

StorageConnects™ operates a community marketplace connecting individuals and businesses offering privately-owned storage spaces with users seeking affordable short- or long-term storage solutions across Australia.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.

2. Definitions

• StorageConnects™: The platform facilitating connections between Storage Providers and Storage Users.
• Storage Provider: A person or business listing a storage space.
• Storage User: A person or business booking a storage space.
• Listing: A storage space advertised on StorageConnects™.
• Booking: A confirmed arrangement between a Storage Provider and Storage User.
• Agreement: The Storage Space Licence Agreement automatically generated by StorageConnects™.

3. Role of StorageConnects™

StorageConnects™ is a facilitator only.

StorageConnects™ does not:

• own or operate any storage spaces
• inspect or verify storage spaces
• take possession of stored goods
• act as an insurer, bailee, landlord, or agent
• guarantee the suitability, safety, legality, or condition of any storage space
• guarantee the condition, ownership, or value of stored goods

All storage arrangements are private agreements between the Storage Provider and Storage User.

4. Eligibility

To use StorageConnects™, you must:

• be at least 18 years old
• provide accurate and truthful information
• comply with Australian laws
• agree to these Terms and all platform policies

StorageConnects™ may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Account Registration

You must create an account to list or book storage.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your login details
• ensuring your account information is accurate
• all activity conducted under your account

StorageConnects™ may require identity verification.

6. Listings

Storage Providers must ensure that:

• all listing information is accurate
• photos and descriptions reflect the actual space
• access instructions are clear
• any restrictions or conditions are disclosed
• the space complies with applicable laws and insurance requirements

StorageConnects™ may remove listings that are misleading, unsafe, unlawful, or violate platform rules.

7. Bookings

A booking occurs when a Storage User confirms a listing and accepts the Storage Space Licence Agreement.

Storage Users must:

• provide accurate information
• comply with the Storage Provider's conditions
• store only permitted items
• maintain required insurance

Storage Providers must:

• honour confirmed bookings
• provide access as described
• maintain required insurance

8. Payments

Storage Users pay the Storage Provider through StorageConnects™ using approved digital payment methods.

StorageConnects™ may charge a platform fee.

Fees are displayed at the time of booking.

StorageConnects™ does not hold stored goods and is not responsible for payment disputes between parties.

9. Insurance

StorageConnects™ does not provide insurance.

Both parties are responsible for:

• obtaining appropriate insurance
• notifying their insurer of the arrangement
• ensuring compliance with policy requirements

Insurance acceptance is confirmed digitally through required checkboxes.

10. Prohibited Items

Storage Users must not store:

• hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials
• illegal goods
• stolen property
• perishable goods
• items that attract vermin
• items prohibited by the Storage Provider or by law

StorageConnects™ may suspend accounts for violations.

11. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• misuse the platform
• provide false or misleading information
• interfere with other users
• upload harmful or unlawful content
• attempt to bypass platform security
• engage in fraudulent or deceptive behaviour

12. Disputes

Disputes between Storage Providers and Storage Users must be resolved directly.

StorageConnects™ may assist communication but is not responsible for:

• resolving disputes
• compensating either party
• enforcing agreements

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StorageConnects™ is not liable for:

• loss, theft, or damage to stored goods
• disputes between users
• inaccurate listings
• access issues
• insurance failures
• termination of arrangements
• indirect, incidental, or consequential loss

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Termination

StorageConnects™ may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• breach of these Terms
• unlawful activity
• fraudulent behaviour
• safety concerns
• failure to comply with platform policies

Users may close their accounts at any time.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on StorageConnects™ (excluding user-uploaded content) is owned by StorageConnects™ and protected by Australian copyright law.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform content without permission.

16. Privacy

Your use of the platform is subject to the StorageConnects™ Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to These Terms

StorageConnects™ may update these Terms at any time.

Updates will be posted on the website with the new effective date.

Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Users submit to the jurisdiction of NSW courts.
